If there is one mantra that's thrown around far too much in the world of weight loss systems, it is that people absolutely need to exercise to lose any weight. From simple jogging to ultra-complex weight training routines, the world of weight loss systems has always operated on the assumption that losing weight simply won't happen without any physical exertion.
The problem is, it is simply not true. Exercise is only one part of losing weight, and it is not particularly the most important part either. Any fitness guru will very quickly attest to the fact that losing weight is mostly about proper diet, and just a very small portion of results come from exercise. So, people desperately looking for ways to lose weight should put their running routines on hold for a while, get their notebooks, and add these four 100% exercise-free principles into their own weight loss system.
Timing Meals for Weight Loss Should be Taken as Seriously as the Meals' Content
Far too many people think that any weight loss system is all about eating less. From ultra-small meals to days with eating only breakfast, some people try anything to lose weight. Losing weight is not exactly about eating less. It is about eating intelligently and at different times. Instead of having one or two meals per day, people looking to lose weight should split their food intakes across four or five smaller meals, each timed throughout the day so that they are never too hungry at once.
When Looking to Lose Weight, Minimize Carbohydrate Intake
Low-carb dieting is accepted as a great way to lose weight, but too many people end up taking the low-carb philosophy too far. Carbohydrates are best avoided for the purpose of losing weight, but they should always be included in anyone's diet during certain parts of the day. People who are incorporating exercise, whether aerobic or anaerobic, into their own weight loss system, should treat themselves to small amounts of carbohydrates before and after their exercise routines. Carbohydrates will help their body absorb protein, which is essential for maintaining muscle and strength while losing fat.
When Trying to Lose Weight, Not All Fats Should be Avoided
In many ways, fats are a good thing for losing weight. As bizarre as it may seem, incorporating more fats into a diet can often help people lose weight and minimize the amount of excess calories they consume. In addition to that, mono- and polyunsaturated fats are important for proper hormone balancing and heart strength. Weight loss is about minimizing calories, not disrupting fat intake. People looking to lose weight should then balance their calories without removing good fats from their diet entirely.
Supplements Can be Helpful for Weight Loss
One of the major problems affecting dieters is the loss of strength with their lost weight. From decreases in muscle mass to drops in body strength and pushing power, athletes are always looking for ways to drop weight without losing their strength. One of those is to supplement their diets intelligently. By using protein supplements, people can maintain muscle mass and strength while losing fat. Using stimulants, people can increase their metabolism and speed up the process of losing weight. Supplements are available for all kinds of diet activities, and by strategically incorporating them into a weight loss routine, people can lose weight without losing strength and energy.
By keeping these four principles in mind, people's weight loss systems can be more effective. Of course, incorporating these tips with exercise will make an even more effective weight loss system. But people should always keep in mind that without proper and intelligent diet, efforts to lose weight will be ineffective.
